Willie James Burnette

He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Burnette retired as a foreman at Magnavox.

Survivors include his wife: Idell Burnette; a daughter and son-in-law: Sharon “Sami” and Gary Burnette of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandsons: Ben and Matthew Burnette of Raleigh; two sisters: Grace Lunsford of Weaverville, North Carolina and Mary Carter of Asheville, North Carolina; special nieces and nephews: Sam and Linda Carter, Jimmy and Katherine Soloman; and special friends: Bill and Elaine Clark.

He was the son of the late Virgil and Eunice Burnette and was preceded in death by two brothers: Carl and Ben Burnette; and a sister, Virginia Dills.

The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel.

Rev. Jim Fain and Rev. Chris Howell will officiate.

Interment will be 11 am Friday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.

Pallbearers will be Matt Burnette, Ken Carter, Gary Burnette, Ben Burnette, Stacy Carter and Gary

Golden.
