

Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker, and the widow of Claude T. Dixon, her husband of 63 years who died Feb. 25, 2000.
She was of the Baptist tradition of faith.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Cecil and Brenda Dixon and Ray and Gwen Dixon, all of Ohio, and Steve and Janie Dixon of Johnson City; two daughters and a son-in-law: Gail and Ronnie Wemmer of Ohio and Charlotte Peters of Afton; her grandchildren: Phil Peters, Jeff Peters, Lee Wemmer, Scott Wemmer, Angelia Sarson, Robert Dixon, Stephen Dixon, Pastor Todd Dixon, Joe Dixon, and Tim Dixon; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and two aunts.
She was a daughter of the late Cecil and Josephine Brown and was preceded in death by a brother, Berthold Brown; and a sister, Vivian Adams.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Dr. David Green and the Rev. Joey Tillery will officiate.
Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Wemmer, Scott Wemmer, Stephen Dixon, Joe Dixon, Tim Dixon, Todd Dixon, Phil Peters, and Jeff Peters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Adams, Everett Dixon, and Johnny Bill Jones.
