Agnes Christina Sookram

Agnes Sookram, aged 79 passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. She was a loyal and committed wife to her husband Fred Sookram. A loving mother to Emily Sookram and Michelle Gaebel (Eric Gaebel) and a wonderful grandmother to Grace Gaebel.

Agnes was born in Trinidad to her parents Johnathan and Violet Ramsaran. Her siblings were Milton, Issac, Raymond, Ezekiel, Lincoln, Nick, Rosalie and Jessie.

Agnes moved to Guelph in 1970. She was one-of-a-kind homemaker. Agnes had a great passion for entertaining where she hosted many dinners for family and friends. Agnes enjoyed crafting, hairdressing, reading, and visiting with friends. The most important relationship was her relationship with Jesus who sustained her through the last difficult years.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. The family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Tuesday, December 19th, from 10:30am - 11:30am at Parkview Church, 89 Speedvale Ave E, Guelph followed by a Funeral Service and Reception at the church. Burial to take place Tuesday, December 19th at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 762 Woolwich St. Guelph.
