Together, they shared a love that spanned continents and decades.
Annelies was a woman of grace, intelligence, and boundless curiosity. She lived in Paris, Milan, England and Luxembourg, and travelled extensively throughout her life. Her adventurous spirit was matched by her warm heart and sharp mind. She had a deep appreciation for music, especially classical and opera, and she delighted in the friendly competition of bowling and bridge. An active member of both a bowling league and the Anglo-German Social Club, Annelies cherished the friendships and community that came with her many interests.
She was a devoted and loving aunt to Jim Nopper (Lorraine) and a cherished sister-in-law to Gudrun Raeber and pre-deceased by brother Otto. Annelies was proud Aunt of Marcus Raeber, great-aunt to Max Raeber and is fondly remembered by Allene, Bingham, Spencer, Lee, Tiffany as well as other family members.
Annelies also found peace and joy at her cottage in Muskoka, where she spent many cherished summers surrounded by nature and loved ones.
In accordance with her wishes, private cremation services have taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home.
Annelies will be remembered for her elegance, her kindness, her stories of travel and culture, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
