Devoted husband to Moira of 61 years. Loving father to Denise (Brad) and Manda (David). Proud Grandad of Jacob and Christopher. Dear brother of Moira Lundie and his late brothers Stewart and Ian. Will be greatly missed by all friends and extended family in Canada and Scotland.
Douglas was born in Perth, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1970 along with the love of his life Moira, and their two daughters. Douglas enjoyed playing darts and golf, spending many joyful hours on the greens and throwing arrows at the dartboard. In his youth, he also played the bagpipes, a passion that he carried with him throughout his life and eventually passed along to his daughter, Denise. A man of humor and heart, Douglas was known for his love of telling jokes—whether they were great or not, he always had a smile on his face when sharing them.
Above all, Douglas loved his family deeply. His devotion to Moira, his daughters, and his grandchildren was unwavering. He will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the love he shared with those around him.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to all the staff, especially Susan, at Hospice Wellington for their compassionate care and support.
