

Julie leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and generosity that touched the lives of all who knew her. Julie was the loving wife of Gary Cowan for 26 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and affection. As a devoted mother, Julie took immense pride in her role, and her love for her child was boundless. She is survived by her son Jason Gosse and daughter-in-law Kirsten. Julie's heart was further warmed by her role as Nanny to her beloved grandchildren Mackenzie, Chelsea, Parker, and Jordyn, who were the light of her life.
Julie was known for her artistic talents, expressing herself through painting and creating beautiful cards that brightened the days of family and friends. Her home was a haven of warmth and joy, where she loved to entertain and be the vibrant voice that brought everyone together. Whether through her art, her spirited card games, or her genuine care for others, Julie made everyone feel valued and loved.
Julie’s generosity was unmatched—she was the person who would offer you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her big heart and even bigger hugs left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She helped shape her family with an unwavering devotion and a nurturing spirit. Julie will be deeply missed by her extended family and a wide circle of friends who were touched by her kindness and her zest for life.
Her memory will live on through the many lives she enriched with her love and creativity.
Friends and relatives are invited to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 1 – 2 pm with a Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:00 pm followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place.
