It is with sad hearts that we share the passing of Leilani Alice Chubb on May 8, 2024. Her family Geoff Chubb (Gina) Steve Chubb, Corinne Sharp (Martin), Kennah McMillan (Robert) along with her grandchildren Jenelle, Tyler, Ryan, Liam, Caleigh and James miss her joyous spirit. She has joined her loving husband Ron where their love and music lives on. They will be missed but they are now together forever.
Leilani was an independent, strong, loving, creative and inspiring Mom, Wife, Grandma and friend. She was an accomplished artist, musician, quilter, wood carver and gardener. Her passions were many.
Her love of music led her to be involved in many bands and productions during her life. With a toe tapping love for dixieland music, she played for many years in the Lady and the Gramps Dixieland band with her husband. Whether it was a piano, dulcimer, harp, mandolin or violin, Leilani shared her music with all who would listen.
Leilani’s love of art goes back in history when she discovered the sketch book of her great grandmother from the 1800’s. Her life’s goal was to paint all of the historic mills in Ontario. She painted over 40 which her family will enjoy for many years to come.
Leilani will be remembered by her sorority sisters, friends and family as her legacy lives on in music and art forever. When you hear Basin Street Blues just look up and smile!
Donations can be made to Hospice Wellington who were so beautiful and caring during Leilani’s final moments with her family by her side.
