Margaret Longstaff

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Longstaff on April 17, 2023, at the age 71.

Margie was predeceased by Frederick Longstaff, her beloved husband of 53 years and her parents Kenneth and Audrey Hasson. She was the loving and dedicated mother of Julie Bowman and Jerry Longstaff. Cherished grandmother to Stephanie, Amanda, Kaitlynn (Steve), Jaymee, Jennifer (Bob) and Tyson. Dear great-grandmother to Maverick, Daxton, Lorelai, Jocelyn, Brody, Rowen, Hunter, Ryder, Ava, Jax and Carter. Margie was the best sister in the world to her brothers Tom (Peggy), Donny (Doris), Ken (Gracie), Bill (Debbie) and her sister-in-law Debbie Beatty Kerr. She had a close and loving relationship with all of her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by a community of friends, many of whom were lifelong.

Margie will be remembered for her baking, her laughter and her commitment to home and family life.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where guests can join the family for visitation on Sunday April 23rd, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm, 7:00-9:00pm and on Monday April 24th, 2023 from 10:00-11:00am. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Monday April 24th at 11:00am. Burial and reception to follow.
