Marion "Dawn" Minnie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion “Dawn” Minnie on August 9, 2025, at Guelph General Hospital, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with chronic health conditions.

Dawn is reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Ruth (Vader) and Eldridge Rosenblath, her partner Joe Crawford, and her dear friend Gloria States.

A devoted and loving mother, Dawn leaves behind her cherished children Melanie Shelley (Shawn), Jason Minnie (BJ), and Liz Minnie. She was a proud and adoring Nan to Alyissa, Dustin, McKyela, Shawnda, Blake, Shyanne, and Jailynn, and a caring Great-Nan to Aaron, Izzabelle, Bentley, Easton, and Lincoln. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into loving, guiding, and supporting them.

Dawn’s life was defined by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering desire to help others. From the young age of 19, she lived with chronic pain, yet never allowed it to overshadow her compassion or generosity. She worked tirelessly to support her family and always found ways to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her siblings Carmel (Jim) Bell, David (Carolyn) Rosenblath, and Jane (Craig) Partridge, along with her many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with Dawn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Her family invites you to honor her memory by showing kindness to others, just as she did so effortlessly throughout her life.
