Mary Edith Walker

Mary Edith Walker, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at The Elliott Community in Guelph. She is now reunited with her cherished husband, Edward, after eight years apart.

Mary was the loving mother of Bruce, Brad, Laurie, Mathew, Glenn, Martin, Kathryn, Holly, and Shelly, as well as stepsons Bryan and Donny. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Mary is survived by her siblings, Dale (Brian) and Chris (Donna), and was predeceased by her siblings Phyllis and Bill. She was a talented artist and a dedicated RNA/nurse, whose compassionate nature touched many lives. Mary had a passion for camping, gardening, baking, and swimming, but her greatest devotion was always to her family.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 9, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home - Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon Street), followed by a memorial service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Cremation has already taken place.

Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In her memory, let us celebrate the warmth, creativity, and love she shared throughout her life.
