Regina "Ina" Pellizzari

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Regina (Ina) Pellizzari (Guidolin) on December 25th , 2023 at the age of 89, surrounded by her loving daughters at Guelph General Hospital.

She was born on May 15,1934 in Riese, Treviso, Italy to Amanzio and Romana and immigrated to Guelph, Ontario in 1958. She married on April 12,1958 to the late Beniamino Pellizzari (1989) and is the dear mother of Mary Anne, Valli, Lisa (Peter), and Diane (Robert). Her most cherished role was being a beloved Nonna to Taylor and Ashley Caissie and Hannah and Ben Pigozzo.

Dear sister to the late Angelo (2017) and late sister-in-law Gabriella Guidolin (2004) , late Marcello (2012) and sister-in-law Josephine Guidolin, Rino (Iolanda) Guidolin, Bruno (Elsa) Guidolin, Sisto (Santina) Guidolin. Sister-in-law to the late Ludovico Pellizzari (1996) and sister-in-law Teodolinda Pellizzari, and Giovanni (2002) and sister-in-law Luigia Pellizzari (1994). Survived by many nieces and nephews in Guelph, Australia, Italy and South America.

Mamma was a very kind and loving person who had the biggest heart for everyone. She had a strong faith and a great sense of humour that always made everyone laugh. Besides spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed working in her garden and cooking delicious meals. She was famous for her fugassa, crostoli and lasagna always making sure everyone had enough to eat.

We would like to thank Tessi Jed for all her loving care of our mother. Thank you to the 6 West nurses and medical staff at General Hospital for their care and compassion.

A visitation for Regina will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home (1099 Gordon St., Guelph). The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Parish (45 Victoria Road North, Guelph). Burial to follow at Marymount Cemetery (5400 Sideroad 6 South, Guelph).
