A devoted husband to Lillian Dorks, Skip was a cherished father to Linda Mulder (Dorks), Fiona Dorks, Dianne Dorks, Donna Dorks, Allister Wilson, and Kathryn Baxter. He was a proud grandfather to Alexander Hanna, Gavin Hanna, Mark Dorks, and Sarah Baxter, and a beloved great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren.
Skip lived a remarkable life marked by service, dedication, and compassion. He proudly served in both the Canadian and British Military Armed Forces, including time as a motorcycle courier—a role he undertook with courage and honour. He continued his commitment to service through his involvement with the Corps of Commissionaires in Guelph and as a volunteer with Scouts Canada, where he mentored and inspired youth.
A man of strong character and integrity, Skip was a Past Grandmaster with the Masons (Rexdale), where his leadership and wisdom left a lasting legacy. Professionally, he contributed many years to Good-Year Manufacturing in Toronto.
Skip’s life was full of passion and hobbies that reflected his spirit. He loved the outdoors—fishing and camping were among his favourite pastimes—and he found joy in woodworking and listening to big band music.
Private cremation has taken place, and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home – Hart Chapel.
Skip’s legacy of service, love, and quiet strength lives on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
