
Ada Tozer, 96, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at home with her family by her side. Born in Woodstock, NB, a daughter of the late Roland and Mary (Lovat) Rogers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family,
After graduation, Ada moved to Ottawa to help with the War Effort. She returned to NB and became a Registered Nurse. She met Geoffrey at a Ball at UNB and they were married in May, 1950. They lived in Saint John, Ottawa and Halifax during their 61 years of marriage. Together they created wonderful homes and memories we will always cherish.
Ada lived a life of loving care and service to her family, her neighbours and friends and her church community. She especially enjoyed her time at the “Waeg”, swimming in the Lido until well into her 90s.
A longtime member of Bethany United Church, she is survived by her children, Dorothy, Barbara (John), Betty (Jim), Glenn (Lori), grandchildren Maude (Bry), Marie-Claire (Brian) and great grandchildren Emily, Eleanor and Olivia. Also survived by two nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Geoffrey.
A private family gravesite service to be held at Pleasant Hill cemetery and a tree will be planted in her memory. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Bethany United Church.
