Alfred William Gower

Dad is predeceased by our beautiful mom and grandmother, Betty; his brother, Charlie (Chuck), and his mother and father, Margaret and Alfred Gower.

Whether it was coaching and managing minor hockey, enjoying an occasional glass of rum, bowling, planting his yearly cucumbers and tomatoes in the garden, tackling projects at the family home, or being a valued employee at CN Rail for 37 years, Alfred did so with the same big smile on his face, which we all grew to know and love.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to cousin Wayne LeBlanc for the weekly coffee trips to McDonalds and the support that continued well into his final days at Dykeland Lodge.

Al is survived by his daughter, Marie (Jody); son, Greg; grandson, Trevor; and grand puppy, Percy.

We would like to thank all friends and family near and far for the continued love and support, as well as the staff at Dykeland Lodge for the phenomenal care and compassion shown to our dad.

Per Al’s wishes there will be no service, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers we can help in carrying on our Dad’s tradition of donating to the QEII Health Sciences Foundation in the name of Alfred and Betty Ann Gower.
