

Angad Singh Hundal, 17, of Bedford, died August 14, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a solo motor cycle accident on Highway 102. He was born September 22, 1995 in Amritsar, India, the son of Jagdeep Singh and Simar Kaur (Hansra) Hundal. He attended Spring Dale Senior School from 1999 to 2008 (Amritsar, India) and Mentor College from 2008 to 2009 (Mississauga), and graduated from Halifax Grammar School (Halifax) with International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in 2013.
Angad loved doing community service. During the years 2012 and 2013, he volunteered to help stroll senior citizens in their wheelchairs. He was currently enjoying his summer vacation before joining Dalhousie University in the Bachelor of Sciences. He wanted to follow his mother's foot steps and become a dentist.
Angad's passion of helping others moved further when he availed the opportunity of donating food to FEED NOVA SCOTIA. He was recognized for providing relief and support for families struggling with hunger, and the role he played to help people break away from poverty.
Angad is survived by his parents Jagdeep and Simar of Bedford; his maternal grandfather, Avtar Singh Hansra, of village Kamalpura, Punjab, India; his paternal grandparents, Dhiraj Singh and Gurbachan Kaur Hundal of village Verka, Punjab, India. He is also survived by his several friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Angad's friends and family know him as kind, funny, generous, and genuine person.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the J.A. Snow Funeral Home in Halifax. The funeral will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
