

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bea Sampson, on May 28, 2012. She was born in 1916, and a daughter of the late George Sampson and Adele Ransom.
Bea was a survivor of the Halifax Explosion, she grew up in Halifax and she had a long full life. She worked at the Capitol Theatre for 30 years and the Old Paramount Theatre for 5 years. For over 45 years, Bea loved Bingo, and would play regularly at the Forum, St Joseph’s Church, St. Lawrence’s Church, with all her Bingo buddies.
She is survived by her sweet wonderful brother George Sampson, loving daughter Karen (David) Bullock, Grandsons, Carl and Darrin (Angela) Comeau Granddaughters Kaitlyn and Sarah Comeau. Extended family Curtis, Christine, Kelly and their children.
She is predeceased by her son Gerald and sisters Mary and infant Ada.
We would like to express our great thanks and gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Guest home; Bea’s home away from home for the past year, their compassion and kindness was limitless. Thanks to all her angels on the 2nd floor.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., (902) 455-0531 on Friday, June 1st at 10:00am. A private family interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St. Vincent’s in her memory.
