
Gorman (Keefe), M Bernadette of Halifax, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2015 in Northwood Manor with close friends at her side. Born in 1922, the daughter of the late John A. and Loretta M. (Doyle) Keefe she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A lifelong resident of Halifax, Bernadette worked as a stenographer for the Unemployment Insurance Commission for a number of years prior to her marriage. She was a long time member of the Brightwood Golf Club in Dartmouth winning a number of senior lady club championships in the 1970’s. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed doing many forms of handiwork and was an avid collector of various forms of “trivia” which she often shared with friends.
Bernadette is survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia Keefe, Blockhouse and a number of nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by close and faithful friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Clyde Francis Gorman; brothers, Donald, Edward and Arthur and her sisters, Helen, Claire and Gerry.

Cremation has taken place under the care of J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (902-455-0531). A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from Saint Benedicts Parish, 45 Radcliff Drive, Halifax followed by a reception. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernadette’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
