Beth Christopherson

CHRISTOPHERSON, Beth Marium – 79, Halifax, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s arms on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Ivany Place, Bedford. Born in Winnepeg, Manitoba, she was the only child of the late James and Elisabeth Dawson. Beth had a long career working in the insurance industry, firstly with Great West Life and later with The Cooperators until her retirement in 1993. She was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, and friend to many and always warmed a room with her smile. She enjoyed walking her dog Abbey, reading, and traveling. She also loved watching sports, especially Scott’s hockey games, where she was fondly known at the rinks as the “hockey mama”. Beth is survived by her daughter, Pam (Earl) Theriault, Halifax; son Geoff (Pam), Falmouth, N.S., grandchildren Scott, Lauren, Hannah, Amy, Andrew, and David and two great grandsons. Arrangements are entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A private family service and interment will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in Beth’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of N.S.
