Brenda I. White

Born in Mill Village NS to Roy and Barbara Anthony she later moved to Halifax to stay with her Aunt Minnie and attend business school. Upon graduation she began work at Colwell Brothers. Soon after, she met and married Cyril John White. Isabel and Cyril moved to Armdale where they raised their family. She worked at Halifax Heating & Air Conditioning until she retired. Isabel was able to continue her passion with gardening and soon her labours were rewarded with an extensive garden that was the pride of the neighourhood. She would like to thank her many neighbours for their caring and friendship over the years, especially Ed, Ann and Marion.

Isabel is predeceased by her husband, Cyril, brothers Arthur, Vernon, Carmen and sisters Marjorie and Marilyn. She is survived by her daughter Dale Horn , son Burt White (Doreen), sisters Evelyn Lockwood and Barbara Coles, grandsons Jonah Horn, Daniel Horn, Gregory White, grandaughters Sarah Horn, Jennifer White, great grandaughter Marlee as well as many nephews and nieces.

Thanks to Dollie and Bud, Naomi, Judy Johnston, Audrey Alexander and Howard White for their support over the years as well as family in Amherst NS.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Melville Lodge.

Isabel was easy to love and will be missed.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of NS.

Visitation and reception will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 4-7.
