Born on May 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Rowan and Mildred Ferguson of Crapaud, PEI. He was predeceased by his younger brother Kent Ferguson. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years and best friend, Marsha Ann (Ross), his son Derek (Tanya) and daughter Paula (Anthony), his four grandchildren, Sydney, Matthew, Jordan and Sarah, who were his pride and joy. He was also survived by his sister Janice (John), Dartmouth, NS, as well as his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In his early years, he dedicated many years to coaching the sports he loved - hockey and baseball within his community. Later in life, he could always be found on the sidelines of the field, court or rink cheering on and supporting his grandchildren with immense pride.
He spent the majority of his career with NS Power, where he worked for 21 years and then later with Source Atlantic before retiring in 2012. Throughout his working life, he formed many lifelong friendships and enjoyed meeting them for coffee and sharing stories.
Above all else, Brian was a true family man. He was always the first to lend a hand, provide a drive or be there when needed. His kindness, devotion and his sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Brian will be sadly missed and forever loved by his family.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, his family will come together for a private service to celebrate his life.
