Ashley had a smile like a ray of sunlight, a heart as big as the ocean, and the gentleness of a summer rain. I knew him for three years, but I will remember him for a lifetime. To Ashley's family, you raised a remarkable young man, and he loved you every minute of every day of his life. Sleep well, friend, and we will meet again someday.
Love, Myrna

Glen and Family, please accept our condolences. I was so Blessed to have shared in Ashleys dream during the 24 hours of our 1998 Sunshine Dreamlift to Disney. It is an event that I will never forget & I am certain Ashley never forgot it. I was so fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend and even more blessed to have got to travel and share the experience with Ashley & Shawn. I do motivational speaking three times a year here in Newfoundland. I tell of our experiences in Disney that Great November day and of my experiences with Ashley. His excitement, determination and fun nature made my day & many others. The image that come to mind each time is Ashley waving good bye to me with his Giant Goofie Gloves. Take Care & God Bless you!

I'm so sorry to hear of Ashley passing on. I had the pleasure of working with Ashley, when he was at a younger age while with the Halifax Regional School Board. He was bright, happy go lucky guy, very caring for others......He LOVED joking around, had a great belly laugh and was so polite...I saw Ashley back in August of 2008, while I was part of SEASIDE-FM radio's visit to New Leaf Enterprises (see picture attached). He didn't know me at first, but then I mentioned my name, Mr. H as he used called me in school...a BIG grin came across his face....he was a really cool guy! My memories are all good ones of working with and knowing him..... My sympathy goes out to his family and friends, who knew him even more. I will never forget you Ashley! Wayne Harrett (Mr. H)
