Callen David Doherty was born on May 4, 2011. He was an outgoing, funny, so very caring and unique young man. He loved gaming, superheroes, swimming, family and friends, social events, his cats, Tig and Sam and pup, Tucker – but most of all, his mom and dad, Erin and Sean, who truly were his real-life superheroes. Callen was fierce like the Hulk and lived his life like a true warrior.
Those who met him and were fortunate enough to get to know him, never forgot him. His strength and determination were truly inspirational. His sense of humour and wit were unmatched and pure joy and love radiated from every fiber of his being. The big belly laughs were the best!
The last few years Callen enjoyed good health following his second kidney transplant, but recently, was diagnosed with Post-Transplant Lymphoma which he battled like a champion. He passed peacefully - with his superhuman parents at his side - on May 19, 2024. We will never forget the many lessons he taught us during this last month and, indeed, throughout his life.
In true Callen style, he wanted everyone to celebrate his beautiful life by having a “good old party”, at the Whites Lake Legion, 3495 Prospect Road, on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Come share your funny stories and wonderful memories. There are so many. Drop in anytime tween 2-8 pm. You are very much encouraged to wear your favourite superhero (preferably Marvel) attire.
