

BOND, Carol Joan – of Halifax, NS, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 30, 2024 at London Hall, Bedford, NS. Born in Upper Rawdon, NS on April 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Harvie) Bond.
Carol spent many years working in the United States gaining experience in the secretarial field, returning home to work for Barrow, Nicoll and Co. for the rest of her career.
Carol loved to travel and would drive anywhere at anytime. Most notably, she flew to London, England overnight, then jumped into a rental car and started touring England and Scotland for 3 weeks in the summer of 1978.
Carol is survived by her brother, Alfred Bond, Tatamagouche; three nieces that she adored, Angela Bond - BC, Erin Bond - NB , and Katherine MacLeod Brown (Jason) - Halifax; two grand-nephews, Nolan and Beckett – NB and two grand-nieces, Rebecca and Emily – Halifax.
Carol is predeceased by her parents and three siblings who died in infancy, as well as several aunts and uncles, including Anna Fenton who lived with the family most of her life. She was also predeceased by her cherished, lifelong friend, Sandra MacLeod.
Special thanks the home care nurses, Annette, ShelleyAnne, Dianne and their counterparts as well as the medical and support staff at London Hall for their continuing care, love and kindness. We are forever grateful.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of JA Snow Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place, and a service will be held at Hillside United (Formally Rockingham United) at 12 Flamingo Drive, Friday, November 15th at 2pm with a reception to follow. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Canada or charity of your choice.
