

Age 87, of Halifax, formerly of Annapolis Royal, passed away on February 8, 2025 in the Halifax Infirmary. Born December 22, 1937 in Bedford NS, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Claire (Beazley) Casey.
Carole grew up in Bedford. From her early years Carole was devoted to her Catholic faith and continued her walk with Christ throughout her life. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada. She taught Sunday School and was always ready and eager to lend a hand when called upon.
Carole and Frank started dating when they were teenagers and married in 1959. She worked at the unemployment office in Halifax prior to moving to Annapolis Royal in 1964.
Carole was a devoted, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved her family and was happy and proud to provide a caring and loving home environment for her husband and children. She was a fabulous cook and baked delicious desserts. She enjoyed card games, sewing, gardening and dancing with the women’s dance group at the House of Roth. Carole and Frank enjoyed square dancing, bowling and camping. Their travels took them from coast to coast across Canada and to Florida in the US. Carole also worked at the Sears Catalogue order outlet in Annapolis Royal for a number of years.
Carole is survived by sons; Brian (Velarie), and Michael (Nancy); daughter Deborah (Mark) Baltzer; brother Mike (Helen Anne) Casey; sister Donna (Kevin) MacDonald; grandchildren, Miranda (Kris), Marissa (Mike), Evan (Destinee); step grandchildren Kurt (Shandi), Aaron (Stephanie), Tressa (Henry);
3 great grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her close friend Shirley Sanford. Carole was predeceased by her parents, brother Donnie and her husband Frank
The family extends great appreciation and thanks to the staff at Precision Heath for providing a loving, caring and compassionate environment for Mom to call home over the last two years.
Funeral/Celebration of Life Service will take place at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive on Friday, February 14th at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow. No visitation. Burial will take place at a later date in Bridgetown, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on-line to the Arthritis Society Canada.
