godmother, second [mother & grandmother] and fellow co-worker, Carol. She died peacefully and with grace at the Halifax hospice on the night of Sept 30th 2019. Born on Feb 5th 1931 in Port Dufferin, Nova Scotia to Sarah Jane [Smiley] and Earl Robinson Lowe, she grew up in Sheet Harbour with her 13 close siblings. Carol cared deeply for many family members and close friends throughout her entire life. Her caring ways were witnessed by many and those who experienced her help and guidance were blessed and thankful. Surviving are her sisters Elizabeth [A Garnet] Brown, Frances [Earl] Woodworth, June [Charlie] Curran, Louise [Don] MacDonald, Agnes [Fred] Julian, Helen [Merv] Bimm and Judy [Brian] Kinsella. Fellow brothers included Wallace [Verna], Eric [Karen] Donnie, [Joan] and John [Barb]. Predeceased by her sister Claire Treleavan and infant brother Kenneth Earl Lowe. Not much TV in the back country those days! After moving to Toronto for a short period, Carol returned to Nova Scotia to start a lifetime career at A G Brown & Sons with her brother in law Garnet Brown. She was a dedicated, loyal and trusted worker whose career spanned well over 50 years as a bookeeper and eventual office manager. The family will be welcoming visitors at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax, Tuesday Oct 8th from 6-8 pm Funeral service will be at St Agnes Church on Mumford Rd Halifax Wednesday Oct 9th at 11am with Father Paul Morris. Family interment will be in Watt Section Nova Scotia. Donations can be made to the Halifax Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society. May God rest her caring soul.
