

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Sprague); daughter, Stephanie (Darren Schofield); sons, Shawn (Christie Singer and son, Robert), Scott (Penny Dalgarno); four granddaughters, Lauren, Sierra, Lexie and Leah, all of Halifax; sisters, Mary (Harold Dort) of Canso, Sheila (Melvin Rhynold) of Canso; brother, Gordon (Donna MacDonald) of Halifax; and many nieces and nephews.
Clarence was predeceased by sisters, Joan Edwards, Ruby Horne, and brother, Shirl Bennett.
Clarence was employed by Halifax Shipyards for 45 years, retiring in 2004. Over the years he volunteered with Scouts Canada, Youth Baseball and Hockey, and for the last 14 years with the Halifax West Ecumenical Food Bank in Fairview.
Clarence was the most social of the family and would strike up a conversation everywhere he went, he truly loved people.
Above all, he was a dedicated grandfather who did anything and everything for his four girls. He loved them more than words can say.
The family would like to thank the entire team at the QE II Cardiac Cath Lab for all that was done on Friday.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will take place Wednesday, June 13th, 7-9 pm. A service will be held Thursday, June 14th, at 2 pm, both at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Halifax West Ecumenical Food Bank.
