Claudia Marie Doucette

1935 – 2024

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear loving mother, Claudia. She died peacefully at home on August 10, 2024. Born in Petit Aldouane, NB, she was predeceased by her husband George, son Robert, her parents Edouard and Melina Daigle, and all seven of her siblings.

Claudia will be deeply missed by her daughters Lisa (Robert) Caissie and Denise Doucette from Halifax, her son Denis (Linda) Doucette from Moncton, and her 3 grandchildren Melanie (Michael) Matthews from Halifax, Adriana and Jacob Doucette from Moncton, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Our sweet Mom, Claudia, was a very gentle and loving person. She portrayed these qualities in many ways; she always had positive things to say about every situation and always did her best to care for her family and friends.

Claudia especially liked to bake and was always ready to share a tasty treat with her family or with anyone who would drop by. Her hospitality and love of people was always at the ready. Of all the delicious treats she would prepare, her apple pies were the most famous. Our Dad, George, enjoyed them immensely.

Claudia adored music and was at her happiest when people would pop in and play the guitar and sing. Listening to her son-in-law, Robert, play and sing songs gave her the greatest of joy.

In addition to music and baking, Claudia also enjoyed many other hobbies including crocheting, walking, gardening, birding, and drawing. Summer was her favourite season, and she enjoyed spending time at the beach with her girls.

Claudia, our mom, will be remembered fondly and missed by all that knew her.
