

Clifford Joseph Sampson, of Chester, passed away September 18, 2014 at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. Born in L’Ardoise, Richmond Co., Cape Breton in 1922, he was the son of Matthew and Alice (Mombourquette) Sampson.
Survived by son, David; sister, Viola (Jack) Smallwood, Charlottetown, PEI, Theresa (Joe) Hobin, Waterloo, ON, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife, Mary; sisters, Edna (Bruno) Ferrari, Montreal PQ, Irene (Doug) Ross, London, ON.
Clifford served oversea in the Second World War with the 1st Division in England, Sicily, Italy and Holland. On his return went to trade school learning plastering and brick laying at which he worked 35 years. He retired due to poor health and resided in New Ross & Chester, Lunenburg Co.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at 2 pm in J.A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, (902-455-0531). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
