

Yeadon, Constance Jeanette “Connie” – 81 of Hatchet Lake, NS, passed away peacefully on Friday August 24, 2012 in the QEII Health Science Centre, Halifax Infirmary. Born August 2, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Daisy (Slaunwhite) Jollimore. She is survived by her son Glen (Margaret), daughter Gail (Jeff) Ripley and granddaughters Hillary and Haley. Brothers Robert (Alecta), Gary, sisters Nina (Joe) Thompson, Sandra (Ronnie) Cormier and Karen (Tom) Welsh. Many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald, sisters Gloria (Gerald) Wheeler, Judy (Bill) Kerr and sister-in-law, Helen Jollimore. In her early years, Connie met the love of her life, Ronnie, whom she was happily married to for 54 years. She was employed at Moirs Chocolates until Glen and Gail arrived. From then on, Connie devoted all of her time to her family. She loved the Steak and Stein on Sundays, flowers, and always had a smile and a “Hi Doll” for any child she saw. She cherished her Friday grocery trips with her dear friend, Betty. Her world was magically transformed with the births of her granddaughters. They were the love of her life, her everything... her angels. Connie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family with all her heart. She was strong in her faith, and was a founding member of St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, with visitation from 7:00pm-9:00pm Monday, August 27, 2012. A celebration of her life will be at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, Hatchet Lake, on Tuesday August 28, 2012 at 1:00pm with Rev. Lisa Vaughn officiating.
