

Carman, Corinne May (Garneau)- It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Corinne Carman after a long and hard fought battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD). She left us in her sleep, surrounded by her family on the evening of December 31, 2010. A devoted wife and loving grandmother, she will be sorely missed and forever loved. Born in Sherbrooke, Que. On April 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles Eugene Garneau and his wife, the late Annie (Galvin), Corinne lived lively in Montreal and Vancouver before settling in Halifax in the early 70’s with her family and became a fixture in the Real Estate industry in HRM for almost thirty years. She is survived by her husband Raymond Thompson Carman, daughters Beth (Halifax), Cathy (Toronto), Judith (Hfx), Lee (John) (Toronto) and Dee-Dee (Patrick) (Wakefield), grandchildren Jason, Lauren, Alexander, Zachary, Isabella, Joshua and Noah, brothers Charles Eugene and Peter Guy Garneau. She is predeceased by an infant son Peter Raymond and her sister Ann Hope Garneau. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the emergency department and the 3IMCU for their care and compassion during her time there. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax N.S. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home Wed. Jan. 5, 2011, 6-9pm in JA Snow Funeral Home. A funeral mass will held at Saint Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 45 Radcliffe Dr. Halifax N.S. Thurs. Jan. 6, 2011 10:30am.
