David Sidney Carnell

Carnell, David, age 76 years of Halifax, NS passed away July 27th, 2022 at the Halifax Infirmary surrounded by his family. Born on November 25th, 1945 in St John’s, NFLD. He was the only child of the late Andrew and Honor Carnell. He attended Bishop Feild College where he played numerous sports. After school he embarked on a career as an investment advisor, a profession he enjoyed for 32 years. Even in his retirement he maintained his interest in the markets. He was a long time member of the Halifax Rotary and the Ashburn Golf Club. At Rotary he was recognized by the club as a Paul Harris Fellow in 2000. Survived by his wife of 44 years Eleanor; two sons Andrew and his wife Lauren, and Colin and his wife Cari-Lee, four grandchildren William and Everley and Abigail and Olivia. A gathering for friends and family will be held from 2-4pm on Friday, August 5th, 2022 at the Martello at 1550 Dresden Row. Above all else, he loved his family.
