Dear Bernice, Kathy and Dorothy,
We were saddened to learn today of Dave's death.  It has been many years since we last saw him strolling the roads in Brulé, most often with a pot in hand and a few kids trailing.  He always seemed to know the best locations for finding blueberries. In fact, your family probably enjoyed more blueberry pies and desserts than all of us summer residents put together.  We have missed you over the past several years since you sold your cottage.  Cape Brulé has changed.  Nevertheless, fond memories of your family linger on.  Dave contributed to many of the happy memories we and our children have of life at the cottage.  

Our thoughts are with you during this sad and difficult time.
