

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dolores "Lambie" Evelyn (Tracey) Ross, 83, on March 25, 2016 in Saint Vincent Nursing home, Halifax. Born in Windsor on May 3, 1932, to the late Dora Gwendolyn (Hawboldt) and Roy William Tracey.
Mom worked for many years in the food industry and then as a caregiver for her great aunt and uncle Nellie and Louis Zimmerman, Florida, US. Mom was a loving, vibrant and compassionate lady who always put everyone else first and whenever you tried to help her she would call you an 'angel of mercy'.
She is survived by her children Marsha (Brian) Ferguson, Diane (Fred) Beltgens, Allen (Eileen) Ross, Gwen Ross, and Marlene Ross (Bill). Her six grandchildren Derek (Tanya) Ferguson, Paula (Anthony "Tony") Hunt, Charlotte Brown (John), Michele (Stuart) Gammie, Trina Ross (Rick) and Jason (Juanita) Ross. Eight great-grandchildren, Sydney and Matthew; Jordan and Sarah; Misha and Matthew; Kyle and Hanna. She is also survived by her sister, Sylvia (Kenneth) Pemberton, Medicine Hat; half-brother, Grant (Ann) Tracey; and half-sister, Paulette (Terry Benedict) Frizzell, Windsor, and their families and her sister-in-law, June Ross, Halifax.
She was predeceased by the father of her children, James Douglas Ross, on 13 January 2015 and her parents.
The family would like to thank her neighbours, Elzbieta, Janusz, Ania and Agnieszka Kubow; cousins, Carole Trenholm and Lorraine Dempsey; her good friend & hairstylist of 47 years, Lynda Kyle; the 2nd and 3rd floor staff at Saint Vincent Nursing Home; the staff of Northwood Home Care; the VON, Palliative Care and other family and friends for all their care, support, and compassion you gave to mom over the years. A memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. In J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to .
