I am in shock dear. I have just learnt of your passing today. Words cant describe how I am feeling. I have always planned on looking you up, and took it for granted that you would always be there. Never in my wildest imagination, would have i thought that you would pass on so early.
I take comfort in the thought that you lived a full life, met your soulmate, married him and went on to have two beautiful daughters. I remember your great love story, love at first sight, a love that percevied and conquered. You and Julius always come to mind whenever i see Anais Anais perfume.

3 years.....long ones..at times, its hard to remember a time that we were not together.  Sometimes..it gets so lonely, even with lots of loving people around.  The girls are great...bloomimg like flowers..always seem to be dancing. They are doing so well at school.  I met with their teachers today,,and you would have left that meeting with a big smile.  Well, keep on smiling my friend as you walk those streets of gold.  Always loved sooooooooooooooo much and missed soooooooooo much.

Dear Julius, I just happened to find this and I was really touched and saddened. I did not know her but I can sense that she was such a nice person. May she rest in peace.

It's been a year and almost a month since you departed from this world to be in a be better place my lovely friend. We dearly miss you  but we get our comfort from knowing that you are with the Lord and in a much happier and peaceful place. I still remember the good times we had together in our early years and shall forever treasure them. To Julius, Holly and Lilly, no amount of words from us can take away the gap from your lives but one thing for sure we will continually pray for you and pray that the sweet holy spirit fills up that gap and give you all the comfort and strength you need to move on. Just heard of Doreen's passing. I'm saddened especially for her very loving Julius and very sweet and young daughters. Reading through the many messages; she touched many as sweet loving, graceful and God fearing; so I'm happy for her that she has achieved what we all seek, to meet with the Lord. My most vivid memory of Doreen is how swift and soft footed she was. Passing by my room to either her cousin's room or the library like a gazelle. And always with the sweetest of smiles. Rest in peace Doreen the gazelle, loved by and touched many. My prayers are with the family.

Each time i come to this website i become speechless and fail to leave a message, i have so many why's yet only the good lord knows the plans he has for each one of us. He surely takes the best I miss you terribly i broke down each time i came back from visiting you during those tough times but its  more painful not hearing your voice or seeing you. You made Halifax a much better place for me, you made Isaac and me apart of your lovely family, so warm, kind, loving, caring and thoughtful. You touched our hearts in so many different ways, i miss you so much may God continue to keep us all strong especially Uncle Julius, Holly and Lilly. R.I.P

very saddened to learn of beloved Doreen's passing. I met Doreen whilst undertaking A'level studies and was lucky to develop a strong friendship with this formidable lady. Her determination, kindness, maturity and calming influence were priceless. Julius, although you never met me, I am in awe of the love you and Doreen shared for so long. I still associate Doreen with the classic fragrance of Anais Anais which you generously gifted her with on special ocassions (It was awfully dear at the time and Doreen was envied by all the girls, we also knew then that you were Doreen's 'the one'. I hope you and your little angels take comfort in Doreen's strong unconditional love, which although short lived, supercedes all worldly treasures. God bless and strengthen you all.

Doreen you were such a blessing and I always enjoyed the few conversations we had in the short time that I was able to connect with you after so many years. I know you are in a better place worshipping and praising the Lord Almighty whom you loved so much!

She was blessed by all those who knew her and mostly by you her family.  Her legacy still lives on and she will always be remembered in our hearts.  May her soul RIP.  Well done Julius is is a treasure especially for the little ones.

I am stunned and saddened to learn of the passing of Doreen. In the short time that I got to know you both before we headed abroad at our respective times, you had become great friends of mine! You gave completly. Hugs to all your family and friends. Know that her smile is ever brighter now with the Lord. Having known her you have had a great and true gift.

Although I did not have the privilege of a close friendship with Doreen I have always admired her love , joy and gentleness as I watched her with her family and others at New Covenant Church. The Lord placed all of you on my heart so often even during my time away in Panama and has given me the joy of lifting you up in prayer. What a blessed assurance  we have of seeing her again in our heavenly home-to spend all eternity in the presence of our beautiful Lord. My continued prayers are with you, Julius and girls, as you walk toward the future. "Now the God of all hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost" (Romans 15:13). I love you all very much.

The passing on of Doreen came a great shock to my family. My regret is that I was not able to go to Uganda to bid her the last farewell. Sincere condolences to Julius,the kids and the whole of Bikako family.

Julius, Lilly and Holly, God still remains Good to you even in such a difficult time. Julius, I stayed with Doreen in MUK/Marystuart when we were pursuing BCom (1994-96). When I heard of her death, I was broken to the marrow. Remembering your love for each other, I asked God why Doreen? But through my grieving, God has reminded me that everything works out for good for those who trust in him, ...nothing will separate us from the love of God, he has better plans for you..plans to prosper you and not to destroy you. Moreso, Doreen's death will bring many to Christ, we will live to see it.  I have stopped grieving because i know she is in a better place. May Jesus's word come true in your lives. Doreen rest in eternal peace and pray for us.

Julius and the girls, we are with you during this moment. I studied with Doreen in Maryhill and i traveled with her to send off Maggie and Lucy's father (Mr. Birakwate).
Doreen had a sweet smile which should keep shining in all our hearts.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Doreen, wonderful mother to your little girls and your wife Julius, it is heartbreaking. Julius, you don't know me but I knew Doreen and her sister Winnie way back in Maryhill as well as Patience Kanyamunyu. Doreen  was always humble, graceful, respectful and very polite yet very radiant and illuminating. She could hold a room still with her smile that spoke volumes. I am sure her aura must have reflected in the happy life she lived because she seemed always happy. Holly and LiLly, you have lost a mother but I hope her goodness and spirit live on in you. Keep faith as your mother did, always know God and everthing will be fine. Julius you must have been a model husband. I saw a picture of you pushing Doreen in a wheel chair with her walking stick. I didn't see her illness, I didn't see pain on your face - I saw smiles and love. I applaud you for loving your wife to the end and that it still shone through amidst all that you were all going through. Doreen knew she was loved. My biggest regret is that I did not have an opportunity to talk to her, even when she lived so close to me unbeknownst to me. Doreen, may the good Lord receive you with joys and trumpets as you continue to watch over your wonderful flowers Holly and Lilly as they grow; and your husband as he goes through this challenging time.
