Dorothy Caroline Hines

Hines, Dorothy Caroline, age 76 of Halifax, passed away unexpectedly on November 6. 2014 in the QEII Hospital. Born in Woodside, she was a daughter of the late Pearl Hines. Dorothy was employed by the Royal Bank in Hamilton, Ontario for seven years and retired from the Bank’s Atlantic Processing Centre in Halifax after twenty-four years in 1994. She spent three years in England travelling with her dear friend Pat Scott Brown. In her retirement Dorothy was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles and watching hummingbirds. Dorothy and her partner spent winters in Florida. She is survived by her partner Marty Moffat, her special cousin Elizabeth(Garfield)Rose and Elizabeth’s children Bruce and Debra Grady. She is also survived by many good friends, near and far. There will be no visitation by request. A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10:30am in JA Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx., B3S 0E1(902-455-0531) with a reception to follow.
