Edith Frances Boyle

BOYLE, Edith Frances – It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Frances (Rowe) Boyle in Ivany Place, Bedford NS on January 3, 2012, at age 84. Edith was born in Halifax a daughter of the late Walter J. and Gertrude (Jordan) Rowe. Edith was employed for many years with Guildfords and Fundy Construction. Her favourite times were those spent with her family especially her grandchild and great grandchildren, and of course spoiling her Beagles. She had a love for gardening, needlepoint and knitting. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all. Edith was predeceased by her loving husband, Allan Boyle “Paddy”, her brothers Walter (Marie) Rowe and William Rowe, and sister Helen (Rowe) Heard. Edith is survived by her children, Allan Boyle (Heather) of Stillwater Lake and Christopher Boyle (Josie) of Upper Tantallon. Granddaughter Gwendolynn Boyle (Jamie) Cox, Great-grandchild Zara Cox. Grandson Jonathon (Shelby) Chisholm great-grandchildren Kyle. Grandson Christopher (Deanna) Chisholm, great-grandchild,Tyson and Kyran. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Rowe of Ivany Place, and Joan (Rowe) Durnen of Endfield. Sister-in-law Marie Rowe of Halifax, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 7th at 2pm at J. A. Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax, NS (902) 455-0531.
