Thomson, Eileen Marjorie of Halifax passed away on September 10, 2014 at the QEII Hospital. Born in Salisbury, England, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Leybourne and Emily Jane (Sperring) Yarker.
She was an operating room nurse in Bath and Leicester, England, prior to her marriage. The family emigrated to Canada in 1963 and settled in Halifax in 1969.
She was a devoted mother to her children and a beloved wife. She pursued interests in ceramics and old houses while never forgetting her roots and her passion for all things England.
Survived by sons: John (Joyce), Michael (Kim) and daughter Elizabeth (Oliver).
As well as her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Julian George Thomson; and sister, Marian Knox.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation as per family request. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
