

Elizabeth Violet Jewell Morash passed away on 29 January 2021. Born in Plymouth England, on 6 July 1933 to Odessa A Hick (nee Boutilier) and Charles Hick. She was brought up in Bermuda and moved to Nova Scotia in 1946.
For many years she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star - Mystic Star Chapter No. 40, receiving her 50-year pin. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary RC Legion Branch #116, later moving to the Ladies Auxiliary RC Centennial Legion Branch #160.
She is survived by her siblings Carlyle Hick (Gloria), Odessa Southern, Lorraine Green and Denise Hick, her children Vincent Morash (Pixie), Rickey Morash (Brenda), Norman Morash (Carol), Annette Slipp (David), David Morash (Lyn) and Christina Stevens (Mark), grandchildren Andrea, Brock, Aaron, Amanda, Jacqueline, Timothy, Justin, Devan, step-grandchildren, Tara, Jason, Clayton, Darrell and Dorothy and great-grandchildren Carter, Katarina, Jayden, Jacob, Juliet, Ava, Max and Henry.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband Bernard St. Clair Morash (divorced), brother Robert Hick (Doreen), sister Darlene Morash and great-granddaughter Makayla Morash.
In her own words “her greatest joy was her family and friends” and in that spirit, she also wished to thank the following who played a special part in her life. Joan and Joe Pitre, Larry Stevens, Gary Manuel, Dana Sawler and Laurie Morash.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Service for extended family and friends will take place at 2 pm, Sunday 7th February at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. There is no visitation or reception.
