Born in Liverpool, NS she was the only daughter of the late Nellie Catherine (McLeod) and William Joseph Quinn.
Before Betty began raising the large family she always wanted, she worked as a telegraph messenger for CN, and settled in Halifax, NS.
The family moved to Moncton NB in 1965 where Betty enjoyed her involvement with St. Patrick’s Family center, The Girl Guide Organization, and the CWL. She loved all travelling opportunities these activities provided, being very proud to have visited every Canadian Province and kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland.
She loved her time spent with family and friends, playing cards, going to bingo and just having a good laugh.
Betty was pre-deceased by her husband Bill, her son Richard, a grandson and great grandson, and her three brothers, Gordon, Jack, and Tom Quinn.
She will be lovingly missed by her daughters Nancy and Sharon (Dartmouth); Ann – Marie (Peter Eisenbach), Thunderbay; Kathleen (Greg Hupman), Port Williams; Carol (Alan Shea), Upham; her sons Brian (Annette), Tim (Diane), Moncton; and her nephew, Robert Quinn, Liverpool, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at a later date with interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.
