

Martin, Eulah Sarah of Halifax, died Friday, April 10 at the Halifax Infirmary. She was born in 1929, a daughter of Roy and Murdina (Drysdale) Shellnutt. She attended Halifax City Schools, including Queen Elizabeth High.
Eulah loved people, parties and dining out. She was very social and loved her cottage life. She had a summer home at Shediac Beach and from 1981 to 2013 a second home on Marvin’s Island, Chester Basin.
She and Roy lived in Moncton from 1953 to 1961 and made many great friends there! She loved sports. In her earlier years she played badminton, then moved to curling at the Mayflower Curling Club and Golf at Oakfield and later at Chester.
She also loved bridge, being in many Bridge Clubs.
She travelled widely with her husband including England, Scotland, Wales, Germany and Italy. Many winter vacations were spent in Florida and Barbados.
She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, Douglas, Roy (Bud), Graeham , Ernest; sister, Rita and grandchild, Max. Eulah and Ernest died within hours of each other.
Eulah is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy, two sons, David (Rebeckah) and Scott. Three grandchildren, Adam (Kim), Joshua (Ashley) and Michelle (Shane), and three great-grandchildren, Jude, Ava and Blake.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be at held at St. James Anglican Church, Armdale Rotary on Wednesday, April 15th at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at Ashburn Golf Club on Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. (902-455-0531). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK in Eulah’s memory.
