Evelyn Florence Judge Probert

PROBERT, Evelyn Florence – 89, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Kathleen (MacDonald) Judge.

We regret to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and friend. Evelyn was a parishioner of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta for many years. Evelyn will be best remembered for her love of her family and always provided good food and baking to many family and friends. She will never be forgotten for her smile and her kind heart. There are too many loving things to mention. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survived by daughters Kathleen (Ben) Banfield of Lantz N.S., Pam White of Halifax, Heather (John) Drury of Halifax; sons Jim (Joanne) of Bedford, Rod (Margaret Anne) of Carrols Corner; sisters Madeline Godfrey of Ontario; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, James S. Probert and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Tuesday, July 10th from 7-9pm and Wednesday, July 11th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish, on Leeds Street, Halifax Thursday, July 12th at 10:00am. Interment will be in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
