Fawzi immigrated to Canada in 1967 with his wife and daughter, they worked hard and grew their family and had a simple and humble life! When not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, cooking, long drives, especially enjoyed the old Arabic shows.
He is survived by his children, Jackie (Chahwan) Chahine, Victoria Rizcallah, Philip (Gillian) Rizcallah, and Maurice (Susan) Rizcallah; his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Labib (Nawal), Jean (Nawal), and Simon (Janet); Jamal his sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Fawzi was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Angele; his parents, Philippe and Victoria; his brothers, Maurice, Rene, Youssef, and Adel; and his sister-in-law Yvonne.
He is known to be a hard worker loving the challenge of fixing any electronics in need of repairs with the exception of cellular phones as it became so frustrating for him to understand this technology.
He always had a smile on his face even when his health was declining and would always say he lived his life the way he wanted and to the fullest until his wife, our mother passed, then life was lost without her.
The family would like to thank the many doctors and staff at the Halifax Infirmary 8.2 for their wonderful care and compassion over the past 4 months.
