Parents - Richard and Rebecca Cook of Nfld.(deceased)
Flos (and don't call her Flo or Flossy) was loved by all who knew her. A one of a kind tiny dynamo who deeply loved and generously gave herself to others, be it to her family or friends or the church, or even those she didn't know.
Having been predeceased by her true love Allen (Mick) 45 years prior she dedicated her life afterwards to her sons Paul(Cheryl), Peter(Suzanne), Mark(Edwina) and Andy(Charlene). She heartbreakingly lost two of her boys Paul and Mark before her passing. Her many grandkids(8), great grandkids(7), brothers, sister and friends cherished her to her last day.
The third oldest of 10 children, she is survived by her sister Helen and brothers Allen and Gordon.
An unwavering supporter of her church and the community that she loved so much. She was pure love. A gentle woman full of humour, humility, light and wisdom. She never wanted any attention, she simply led her life without interfering in others' business. Happy to give advice if you ask for it and totally content to just be there, without fail, for those that needed her. There can be no testament to Flos MacFarlane without mentioning her cinnamon buns, her awesome hugs and her love, to all. A true inspiration.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Timberlea on Dec 4 at 11 am. Reverend Catherine Lee Cunningham presiding.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Andrew's Anglican Church General Fund (Timberlea) in her memory.
