Frances Marie Inglis (nee Flemming) It is with deepest sadness we announce Frances` sudden passing on Wednesday, August 21st while visiting her daughter and family in Montreal. Born on July 22, 1943, she grew up in Halifax, the daughter of her late proud parents Charles and Charlotte Flemming. Fran was well loved by her siblings who thought of her as the pillar of the family. She married the love of her life, Barry in 1966 embarking on a life of adventure having lived in Toronto, Germany and Montreal before moving back to Halifax in 1995. As a resident of Bedford, Fran`s door was always open and for many people served as a second home. Fran lived for her family. Her daughter Margaret and her son Charles were never out of her thoughts. The same love was shared with her son-in-law Eric Green and grandchildren Megan, Riley and Connor, and Charles` love Jessica Nagle. Frances attended St. Patrick`s High School, before going on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Saint Vincent University, a journalism diploma from University of Kings College, and a Bachelor of Education from Dalhousie University. Frances kept a very busy life, being an avid traveller and reader. She loved her time with the ladies at the Halifax Curling Club, bowling, and bridge clubs- her friends meant the world to her. Frances often volunteered her time in various organizations, and her generosity knew no bounds. She will always live in the hearts of her husband Barry, daughter Margaret (Eric), grandchildren Megan, Riley and Connor ; son Charles (Jessica). Barry, Margaret and Charles, I was so sad to hear about Frances passing. I have known her my whole life. I remember as a child being so excited whenever Barry and Frances would come to mom and dads to visit. Barry was so silly and fun and I always remember Frances laughing, probably at Barry's antics. As a matter of fact I still loved visiting with them as an adult! Frances was so kind and funny and I will remember her fondly. Love Michelle Zinck and family

Barry and family,

Just heard the sad news about Frances, my sincerest condolences. I remember driving back with you, Frances and Charles one time from a Singer meeting in Quebec City and recall that Frances kept us entertained all the way back with her witty comments and conversation. She was a wonderful person.

Barry, Charles, and family
Yes, it was quite shocking to hear the sad news. We can never truly empathize with another. However, at this time of loss we certainly share your grief. It always appeared that Frances had great joy in making others happy – her smile and laughter were contagious, her door always open, and her words insightful. And although no words can really help ease the loss you bear, please know that you and the family are close in our thoughts and prayers.
We will touch base with you upon our return to Bedford in the New Year.
Steady on…
Graham (Anne and Ben)
