Freda Marie Giles

Freda Marie Giles (Morrell), 95 of Bedford, NS, passed on December 15, 2014. She was a professor of Horsemanship and ran a riding club at Middleton, NS before returning to Bedford to raise her family. She and her husband Roy were the Animal Control Officers for many years in the Bedford, Sackville, and Halifax Co.

She is predeceased by her husband, Roy M. Giles; daughter, Ronda J. Giles.

She leaves behind her six children, Yvette Hyam-Giles, Stewiack, Dawn Van Meenen, California, Philip Giles, Edward Giles, Michael Giles, and Marshall Giles, all of Bedford; grandchildren, Steven Strong, Jeff Hyam, Cindy Hronek, Charmaine Hyam, all of Alberta, Erica Van Meenen, BC, Andrea Van Meenen, Colorado, Tabitha Giles, Bedford, Rae-Lee Giles, Bedford, Matthew Giles, Bedford, Ashley Giles, Sackville, Jacob Giles, Ontario, Ronda M. Giles, Bedford, as well as 14 great-grandchildren.

Service will be held at J.A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, (902-455-0531) on Sunday, December 21 at 2:00 pm with burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Poppy Fund or The Canadian Red Cross.
