Garth Murray Burbridge

Passed away peacefully at home Friday, December 13th at the age of 89, with family by his side. Born in Halifax to the late Leonard and Violet (MacAulay) Burbridge. Dad was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been predeceased by brothers Robert, Lloyd and Bruce; also, by his beloved wife and best friend, Clare (O’Connell) in March of 2012. Dad was employed for many years with the Province of Nova Scotia, retiring in 1991. Surviving are his sons Tony (Darlene), Scott (Michelle); Kent and his daughter Christine; grandchildren Neil (Stacey); Nicole; Lindsey; Daniel (Stephanie); Gregory (Joanne); great-grandchildren Owen and Linley Burbridge and Riley Duggan. The family would like to thank Dr. Hugh Matheson, his family physician, along with the V.O.N., Claire with Palliative Care, Jennifer with Continuing Care, and Nicole with MAiD.

To Drs. Rod Wilson and Anne Marie Krueger-Naug, your support and compassion during this time, will never be forgotten. As per Dad’s wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service. A private burial will take place at a later date.
