George William Murray

He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Rita Murray; brothers, Greg, John, Kevin, Don and sister, Anita. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Collette; daughter, Leigh-Anne; granddaughter, K-Leigh; son, George (Krista); grandson, Zachary; brothers, Gerald and Terry, and sisters, Margaret, Mary, Rita and Kay, a large circle of nieces, nephews, and all his relatives and friends.

Originally from Grand Falls - Windsor, NL, George had a love for music and a natural talent for playing the guitar. He was a member of many bands over the years including both rock and roll and brass bands.

Known as George, Dad, Uncle and Pop/Poppy, his caring and friendly personality was enjoyed by everyone he met. A special thank you to all the people who served him breakfast every morning at Fenwick Tower, a place he enjoyed visiting many mornings over the past number of years. A special thank you is also extended to all the nurses and doctors on 9B at the VG site for the exceptional care he received.

A celebration of life will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Halifax on Sunday June 5 at 2 pm. Donations in his memory can be made to Feed Nova Scotia (www.feednovascotia.ca).
