Geraldine Elizabeth George

Geraldine Elizabeth George, age 85 of Halifax, passed away December 15, 2017 at the QEII Health Science Centre. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of William and Jesse Beazley. Geraldine was born in Halifax May 17, 1932. She attended St. Mary’s School as a young girl. She married Stanley George Sr. the love of her life. She was a loving mother to three children, Sharon, Stan and Kirk and close nephew Frank. She lived her entire life in her beloved city of Halifax. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was an active member of Saint Benedict Parish where she worshiped weekly. Survived by her daughter, Sharon Jenkins (Doug); sons, Stanley (Lori), Kirk (Carol); grandchildren, Carla, Rebecca, Sheenagh, Lisa, Leanne, Laura and Christopher, and great granddaughter, Abby. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley George Sr.; sisters, Margaret and Ruby; brothers, Bernard, Francis, Harold, Walter, and Nelson. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18 from 7-9 pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, and a Funeral Mass will take place in Saint Benedict Church, 45 Radcliffe Drive, on Tuesday, December 19, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
