OBITUARY
Harold Alvin Clark

IN THE CARE OF
JA Snow Funeral Home
It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Alvin Clark, announces his passing on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the age of 93 years.
Born and raised in Gabarus, Cape Breton, he spent his life on the ocean, as a fisherman. Harold started fishing with his father, Charles Clark, at the age of 15 years. The year was 1945. They fished lobster, in an open boat, where the only protection was a sou’wester on their head. At the age of 25, Harold got his own boat and equipment. He fished lobster, crab and swordfish until his retirement. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle man with a great sense of humour and a grin that would melt your heart. He loved being in Gabarus, it was his happy place, with his friends and extended family.
Our sweet papa will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Debbie Clark, Beth Clark (Paul Hemsworth) and his beloved grandson, Logan Clark-Kenney. Harold will be fondly remembered by his cousin, Phil Clark (Marie), Ontario, his sister in law, Alberta (Walker) Ferguson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles (Mary Townsend) Clark. Loving wife, Mary Melinda (Walker). A special thank you to Dr. Judith MacNeill and the staff at the Berkeley Bedford.
A celebration of life will take place in his beloved Gabarus, at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Harold may be made to Lake View Cemetery, Gabarus, NS. B1K 1B0.
