Heather passed away suddenly in Frankfurt Germany on December 13th while working as an au pére. She was well loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Honour her memory by wearing a bright colour.
Heather was homeschooled until she began attending Brookside Junior High. She graduated from Halifax West High School with an IB diploma in June 2010. She was well liked and participated in many activities at school, including the Harmony West choir, and the school musical. Some of her passions included singing, ballet, gymnastics and poetry. She was a voracious reader and loved learning about many subjects, including her favourite: history. She had plans to study history after her work as an au pére and to travel widely to experience historical sites around the world. Heather was passionate about social justice and always tried to befriend others in need. Her dream job was a United Nations Ambassador. She had an excellent sense of style and an interest in fashion and design. Some of her favourite things include books, her friends, music of all kinds and her cats Tangle, Diamond and Gilligan. She worked at Keshen Goodman library from 2009 to 2010. She played soccer, scoring many goals for her team Halifax County United.
Heather is survived by mother Sandra Pedersen, father David Jellicoe, sister Sara Jellicoe and many extended family. Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax on Sunday, December 26, from 2pm to 5pm. Celebration of Life service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 27, at 11:00am.
